Written and directed by Anudeep KV, best known for directing the 2021 blockbuster Telugu comedy drama film Jathi Ratnalu. The film marks the Telugu debut of award winning actor Siva Karthikeyan who after several Telugu dubbed films is finally set to make his acting debut in Tollywood. The film was tentatively titled as SK 20, marking the Tamil debut of director Anudeep.

The makers of the bilingual film announced the new release date of the film. The film, which was earlier slated to release on August 31, has now been postponed to Diwali. This is the first film of the star’s career which is being picked for Diwali release and will release in both Telugu and Tamil languages.
The release date was announced with a three-minute long comedy video featuring Siva Karthikeyan, Maria Ryanshapka, Satya Raj and director Anudeep. Produced by P. Ram Mohan, D. Suresh Babu and Sunil Narang, Prince is slated to release on October 21, 2022. The film will soon have an OTT release. The action-romantic film is directed by Anudeep KV. The lead actor of the film, Siva Karthikeyan aka SK, appeared in his recently released Tamil romantic comedy drama film Don co-starring, which released on 13th May along with a Telugu dubbed version titled College Don and it Turned out to be a blockbuster. By the second week of its release in theatres, it has crossed the 100 crore mark.
Apart from the Prince movie, Siva Karthikeyan has a film with Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar and Isha Koppikar in the long-awaited Tamil sci-fi film Ayalaan and Rajkumar Periyasamy in a Kamal Haasan production.
