Malaika studied at Holy Cross High School Thane till 9th standard. He completed his secondary education from Swami Vivekananda School, Chembur. After completing her schooling, she joined Jai Hind College but could not complete her graduation due to her dedication towards work. When MTV started Make Go in India, Malaika was among the few VJs who were selected. Malaika First hosted the program ‘Club MTV’. She did many commercial advertisements for many brands. She was promoting the album in song; “Gud Nalo Ishq Meetha” with Bally Sagoo and Jas Arora.
In 1998, her item number, Chaiyya Chaiyya, Chitra Se, Dil Se, brought her much fame and recall. In 2008, he played his first lead role in the film EMI, which turned out to be a major box-office flop. She produced the film Dabangg under her ex-husband’s production house, in which she did an item number, ‘Munni goes infamous.’ In an interview, she said that she never aspires to act in a film.
