Iqra completed her education in a local private school in Karachi and then joined the University of Karachi for higher studies. She wanted to become an actress since childhood. Iqra started her career when she was fourteen years old. She got into acting with the help of her elder siblings. She first auditioned as a TV commercial model and was selected by the talent agency Citrus.
