Filming and production of The Godfather
The makers of the film announced the upcoming Telugu remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer in April 2020 with Chiranjeevi as the lead character.
Director Mohan Raja who made his debut with the 2001 Telugu film Hanuman Junction, the only Telugu film directed by him. However, after a long gap of more than twenty years, he is back again to direct another Telugu film.
The shooting of the film began on 13 August 2021 and took place in Hyderabad environment and the second schedule was shot in September 2021 in Ooty, Tamil Nadu.
The film is under production and Salman joined the team which is shooting recently on 12 March 2022 at ND Studio, Karjat, Mumbai.
